This Privacy Policy is compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa. We are committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring transparency in how we process your data.

- Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and encrypted password credentials (managed via Supabase Authentication).
- Transaction Data: We record details of deposits, withdrawals, pool entries, and winnings to maintain an accurate ledger of your wallet balance.
- Usage Data: We track your interactions with the platform, such as created pools, joined matches, and activity timestamps ("Last Seen").
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your information strictly to:
- Facilitate the creation and settlement of prediction pools.
- Process wallet transactions securely.
- Prevent fraud, collusion, and multiple account abuse (in line with FICA requirements).
- Communicate with you regarding account status or technical updates.

- Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (SSL) and at rest (database encryption).

5. Third-Party Services & Cross-Border Transfer
We may share limited data with trusted third-party providers. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your data to servers which may be located outside of South Africa, provided they offer an adequate level of protection similar to POPIA.
- Database & Auth Provider: Supabase.
- Analytics: Basic aggregated usage data.
We do NOT sell your personal data to advertisers.
6. Your Rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to your personal information, request correction of inaccuracies, or object to the processing of your personal information. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe your rights have been infringed.
